On 15 Feb 2008, the volunteers of Spirit India celebrated its first anniversary. The occasion was marked with the performance of a street play “Jeevan Hai Anmol”. It was aimed to bring awareness towards the necessity to follow the road safety rules in our day to day life. The skit was enacted by Nivedita, Sunita Arora, Rajandeep Singh , Anshika , Nikita, Ashima, Sangeeta, Devanshi , Monika, Mohit ,Sunil , Harsh and Rahul Sharma under the joint direction of Mrs. Meera Sharma and Mrs. Madhu Sharma. To sensitize the people of the city beautiful regarding the necessity of observing the road safety rules, the volunteers of AAVAHAN repeatedly
performed this play in the Rose Garden during the Rose Festival 2008.
They again staged it at the Student centre of the Panjab University during the awareness week celebrated by the University in collaboration with the Chandigarh Administration
On 5 Feb 2009 another skit was presented to highlight the complications that arise by not obeying the traffic norms. It was written, directed and enacted by Deepak Chaudhury, Krishna Kant and Bhavishka.
On 12 August 2009 the volunteers of AAVAHAN presented a skit titled ‘U-Turn,’ which warned the audience about the consequences of a rash and careless attitude in life. The idea behind this skit was to encourage youngsters to think about their actions and bring about appropriate changes in their behavior by leading a healthy, disciplined and useful life. It was written and directed by Krishna Kant, a young volunteer. Krishnakant, Divyangna. Abhay, Savgun, Bhavishka. Nitish, Aakansha and Rajesh very passionately performed their roles to put across to the audience the fundamental concept of AAVAHAN.
On 7 Nov 2009 the volunteers of AAVAHAN presented a skit BUS AB AUR NAHI on the college campus. The purpose of the skit was to bring awareness about the dire consequences of corrupt practices in the long run. The skit was performed by Hardeep, Dinesh,Monica, Preeti, Divyangna.Ankur and.
On 13 Nov 2009 the children of AIE Centre of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan preformed a short skit under the guidance and training of AAVAHAN. The title of the skit was Mujhe Padne Do .The aim was to inspire this children to stay regular with their schooling.
